Is Taking A Knee Before Matches Now Trite? Les Ferdinand Thinks So, But Not Everyone Agrees

Players kneeling before games in support of the Black Lives Matter movement will ensure that it remains a topic of conversation and help bring about change, said Real Salt Lake and former Queens Park Rangers (QPR) defender Nedum Onuoha.

Former England striker Les Ferdinand said last week that taking a knee had become nothing short of a PR stunt and that the real message was being diluted.

Here’s What NBC/NBCSN Are Showing Instead Of The Liverpool-Arsenal Match

With all due respect to the folks who work at NBC, we here at The18 are not done echoing the anger and disappointment at the broadcaster’s abrupt abandonment of soccer fans across the U.S. While we won’t go so far as to cry #PeacockOut (the streaming service has its place), we can’t stay quiet over the fact NBC’s greed is getting in the way of our enjoyment of the Premier League.

Coach Gets Foot Stuck In Crate After Missed Penalty And Accepts His Fate

On Sunday in women’s college soccer, the Duke Blue Devils and Wake Forest Demon Deacons played to a hellish 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of regular time and two 10-minute overtime periods.

Wake Forest had the best opportunity at winning in the 99th-minute when a Duke foul near the edge of the area resulted in a penalty for the Demon Deacons.

But the tame effort from the spot was saved, and Wake Forest coach Tony da Luz couldn’t hide his displeasure when kicking a crate. The crate, however, fought back and eventually KO’d the manager.
