Suspect Held In Suspected Terrorist Attack On Borussia Dortmund Team Bus

Frauke Koehle, a spokeswoman for Germany’s federal state prosecutor in Karlsruhe, has confirmed that the three explosives that were detonated outside the Borussia Dortmund team bus were pipe bombs capable of traveling more than 330 feet. One of the three explosive devices contained metal strips, according to prosecutors, including one pin that pierced a headrest of a bus seat.

Bayern Munich Are A Steamroller, And The Bundesliga Is Asphalt

There are any number of farm and construction machines Bayern Munich could be accurately compared to: a threshing machine, for example. I think the best comparison, though, is the steamroller, because there's nothing you can do to a steamroller that will stop it from crushing you. Nothing.

Borussia Dortmund played the part of asphalt Saturday as Bayern Rolled over them, 4-1.

Saturday's Der Klassiker Is Hopelessly Meaningless

Don't expect a competitive affair in tomorrow morning's Der Klassiker with both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund looking ahead to their upcoming Champions League quarterfinals. Expect both teams to rest quite a few of their star players as they try to conserve energy and fitness for these huge games.

Borussia Dortmund will have one eye on AS Monaco, Ligue 1's only remaining club. Monaco did more than prove themselves in the round of 16 after defeating Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. That match comes on Tuesday, only three days after Der Klassiker.

Hoffenheim Rocket Ends Bayern Munich's 15-Match Unbeaten Streak

Bayern Munich finally faltered in the Bundesliga and lost to TSG Hoffenheim by a final score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss comes at the start of a difficult period for the Bavarians. They will take on arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund on April 8th, as well as play Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on April 12th.

Has Bayern Munich's New Home Kit Been Leaked?

Ladies and gentlemen, Bayern Munich's home kit for the 2017-2018 season may have made its firs appearances online.

It's throwback to the jerseys that Bayern Munich were wearing in the 1970's, and Adidas did a fantastic job replicating it, but also making sure that the jersey has a modern look.

According to Footy Headlines, the jersey is completely red with thin, vertical white stripes. The shorts for next year are expected to go back to the classic red.

Looking Ahead To The 150th Revierderby

Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 will meet once again in the Revierderby Saturday. They last met in a nil-nil draw on October 29, 2016.

This will be the 150th iteration of the derby. Schalke leads the all-time series with 58 wins to Borussia Dortmund's 51. They have drawn 40 times.

The first match between the two teams took place on May 3, 1925, with Schalke winning 4-2. Schalke won all three matchups against Dortmund that season.

Hoffenheim vs. Hertha Featured Two Goals You Need To See For Completely Different Reasons

Bundesliga also-rans Hoffenheim and Hertha met in a battle pitting fourth and fifth in the German top division. Hoffenheim would ultimately win 3-1, climbing above Borussia Dortmund and into third in the table — only 14 points behind Bayern Munich.

The match featured two must-watch but starkly contrasting goals. Peter Pekarik opened the scoring for Hertha after a truly bizarre assist from Alexander Esswein. It was just an awful mis-hit, but that stupid cliche they all count the same.

Lukas Podolski Hit A Banger In His Germany Curtain Call

Lukas Podolski's Germany career is finished, but he left us a great parting gift, scoring the lone goal in Germany's 1-0 win over England Wednesday.

And what a rip. Joe Hart had no chance.

Robben Throws a Hissy Fit as he is Subbed

League leaders Bayern Munich have shown great form, only losing once this season. Their lengthy roster of world class players do not want to settle for anything less. During their game against Monchengladbach, Robben was not a happy camper when taken off the pitch in the final minutes of the game. His teammates tried to calm him down, obviously undermining Robben's emotional state. Xabi Alonso exhibited sheer class by giving the sad soul a water bottle although he did not appreciate it in the end. This was the cherry on top for the Bayern Munich bench as they burst into laughter.

Joshua Kimmich's Frustration At Bayern Is A Dream Come True For Pep Guardiola

22-year-old Joshua Kimmich is becoming frustrated by his lack of playing time at Bayern Munich under head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

After getting plenty of opportunities under Pep Guardiola, who is now the head coach of Manchester City, Kimmich has been limited to 10 Bundesliga starts this season.
