Former Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien has joined the lofty ranks of footballers with extremely messed-up statues. Essien is in good company, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Diego Maradona.
Essien's bad statue exists in his native Ghana, and folks, it is not a good statue.
Celtic's 3-1 victory over Hamilton Academical Wednesday marked a tremendous achievement: it stretched the Hoops' unbeaten streak to 69 games. Nice.

A Zlatan movie is finally coming, according to Screen International. The movie, based on Zlatan's autobiography I am Zlatan (one of the best athlete memoirs ever written), will be produced by David Lagercrantz, who co-wrote I am Zlatan.
As far as I know, there is no actual manual for celebrating victories, but if there was, Lillestrom defender Aleksander Melgalvis Andreassean violated (hah, that's a joke, you'll see what I mean) every rule contained therein.

EA Sports will release its flagship football game next week, but we got a sneak peak at some of the FIFA 18 stadiums that will be included in the new edition — including four brand new to the game — and they are absolutely breathtaking.
The breakout star of Monday Night Football's first late game of 2017 between the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers, although Beth Mowins was excellent and Rex Ryan is a better broadcaster than he is a coach, was undoubtedly sideline reporter Sergio Dipp.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a man of few celebrations. That makes sense. To stay on top as long as he has, you have to be completely about the work, not the reward. However, for a guy that’s scored nearly 630 professional goals in his career, his arsenal of goal celebrations is weak.
