Liga MX Postpones Thursday’s Season Opener Over Positive Covid-19 Tests

Liga MX hit pause on Thursday's season-opening match between Atletico San Luis and FC Juarez, moving the match to Monday after a number of positive coronavirus tests were reported.

According to a report from Record.com.mx, more than 10 FC Juarez players tested positive for the coronavirus. While the number remains in question, the club did admit to multiple positive tests.

Liga MX Club Santos Laguna Has Eight Players Test Positive For COVID-19

MEXICO CITY — Eight soccer players at Mexico's Santos Laguna club have tested positive for coronavirus but none of them are displaying any symptoms, the Mexican governing body, Liga MX, said on Wednesday.

The Mexican league was suspended on March 15 due to the coronavirus outbreak and officials have not indicated when it would restart.
