Liga MX hit pause on Thursday's season-opening match between Atletico San Luis and FC Juarez, moving the match to Monday after a number of positive coronavirus tests were reported.
According to a report from Record.com.mx, more than 10 FC Juarez players tested positive for the coronavirus. While the number remains in question, the club did admit to multiple positive tests.

"The game will be played on Monday, July 27 at 6 p.m. in Estadio Alfonso Lastras," the league posted to social media in Spanish. "The above pending the full results carried out at FC Juarez."
Necaxa, which is supposed to play its opener Friday against Tigres UANL, reportedly had five players test positive during training camp, but their game has not been postponed as of yet.

Chivas Guadalajara, which is scheduled to play Leon on Saturday, has at least four positive cases, including head coach Luis Fernando Tena, who will be in quarantine when the season begins after he tested positive.
According to the World Health Organization, there were an all-time high of 7,615 reported new positive coronavirus cases in Mexico on Monday. A high of 1,091 deaths was reported June 5, with 296 deaths reported Tuesday.
