This Video Shows The Terrifying Ordeal Of Facing Messi From A Defender's View

Have you ever wondered what it's like for a defender to face Lionel Messi? We've all seen him embarrass defenders on our T.V. screens, but that pales in comparison to actually having to go toe-to-toe with the Argentinian wizard.

242 Feet Up, This Norwegian Team Tried To Score A Goal From A Skyscraper

Think you've seen the most epic volley of all time? Well, think again because Norwegian champions Rosenborg and Scandic Norway have just released a video that should be a serious contender for the prize.

This Referee Is The Calmest, Scariest Person In The World

If you're going to attack a referee, make sure he isn't a terrifying badass first.

Otherwise, you might end up like this dude in the Italian ninth division, who picked the wrong referee to mess with.

The ref's rection reminded us of this scene in the movie Wild Wild West, starring Will Smith. He became that much scarier and tougher by not reacting.

Messi Proved The Hype Was Real When He Scored A Hat Trick Against Real Madrid At 19

The passing of the guard is a rare thing to appreciate as it happens. Sure, people love to say, “we are watching a passing of the guard,” but even if they are correct, it still takes months, sometimes years to complete. What we see from a 19-year-old Messi in this next video is a performance that happened in the middle of such a passing: the transition of Barcelona from Ronaldinho’s team to Messi’s team. In it we watch Messi score a hat-trick against Real Madrid at the age of 19, a performance that showed the world that the hype was real.

This Guy Literally Dances On The Field When He Pulls Off Skills

I’m torn. If I played against South African footballer Thabo Rakhale I would be very angry. I would say things like, “nothing he does has any impact on the game.” I would act like a square white dude, but I would try and lock him down, steal the ball, and make sure his bulls*** never works. I can’t help the way that I am.

But watching him…I want to chant “swag” every time he touches the ball and yell at all the defenders trying to guard him, “THAT’S A BAAAAD MAN.”

Watch This Coach Celebrate A Goal By Punching One Of His Own Players

Inverness Caledonian Thistle coach John Hughes really knows how to celebrate a goal. The problem here is Inverness midfielder Liam Polworth doesn't know how to get out of the way of John Hughes when Hughes is celebrating a goal.

(Aside: Inverness Caledonian Thistle is our second favorite team name in the Scottish Premiership, trailing only Heart of Midlothian.)

Hughes was so happy about the goal he gave Liam Polworth what we would describe as a "Scottish love tap" and a few little kidney-aimed rabbit punches and sent the lad on his way.

This Guy Kicked A Ball In His Teammate's Face. Karma Was Swift And Appropriate

This has been a great week for IN THE FACE!!!! INNNThe FAAACE!!!! news.

You shouldn't kick the ball directly into your teammate's face. That's, like, the number one rule of teammates. For more,we go to our "Instant Karma" correspondent, John Lennon.

Thanks John.

Alex Morgan Scores Neymar - esque Goal Against Germany

The inaugural SheBelieves Cup final that featured the USWNT and Germany's women's national team lived up to the hype. With other powerhouse national teams like France and England, the SheBelieves Cup was a great success for all. Last night, Alex Morgan scored a goal very similar to one of the Neymar's best goals in recent years. Morgan took a bouncing long ball, flicked it over a defender and calmly volleyed it into net in front of a charging German keeper. The 34th minute equalizer was a thing of beauty and the USWNT would go on to win 2 - 1.

Here's A Great Example Of How Not To Defend A Flip Throw

This is not how flip throws are supposed to go. We're just going to leave this this here.

England's League 2 Just Produced The Goal Of The Season

Portsmouth F.C.’s Michael Doyle allowed beleaguered supporters of the club to maintain their belief that they’ll begin their slow ascent back up the English league system after his wonder strike secured a 3-1 victory over Accrington Stanley.

Portsmouth are two-time FA Cup winners, their most recent success coming in 2008, but have suffered three relegations since their 2009/10 Premier League season. Mired in League 2 following severe debt and multiple bouts with the administration, things are finally looking up for the largest fan-owned football club in England.
