The 2019-20 UEFA Women’s Champions League continued on Friday with the quarterfinals following a suspension of play that had put the competition on hold since Halloween. Like the men’s side, the tournament was changed to a single-leg format with all the matches being played behind closed doors in Bilbao and San Sebastián, Spain.

Aberdeen ‘Severely Reprimanded’ 8 Players Whose Idiocy Forced 3 Match Postponements

The eight Aberdeen players who breached COVID-19 protocols and prompted three league matches to be postponed have been severely reprimanded and heavily fined, the Scottish Premiership club said on Friday.

British media reported that the players had visited a bar on Aug. 1 in breach of their own COVID-19 protocols and government guidance, following their opening 1-0 defeat by Rangers.

Celtic and Aberdeen's next two Scottish Premiership matches have been postponed after their players broke quarantine rules, the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) said on Tuesday.

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon demanded the cancellation after Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli played in a 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock on Sunday without quarantining after returning from Spain — where he had travelled without informing the club.

Scotland has found a creative way to get younger girls more active. Statistics from Leeds Beckett University show 84 percent of girls under the age of 17 are not meeting minimum activity guidelines. As a result a new UEFA project in Scotland decided to team up with films and characters from Disney films.

This provides a pathway for girls ages 5 to 8 who are not participating in activities. The first curriculum is a 10-week session inspired by Incredibles 2 characters Violet Parr and Elastigirl. 

English, Scottish And Irish FAs Ban Heading During Practice For Children Ages 6 To 11

Children between the ages of six and 11 have been banned from heading during practice by the English, Scottish and Irish FAs. The heading ban was announced on Monday following a landmark study into the correlation between footballers and brain disease.
