England Put 5 Past Panama In 45 Minutes, Including This Absurd Jesse Lingard Strike

England’s putting on a finishing clinic versus Panama to begin Sunday’s World Cup group play. John Stones sent a precise downward header beyond Jaime Penedo to open the scoring, Harry Kane added England’s second with an emphatic penalty and Jesse Lingard added the third with one of the best goals of the tournament so far. A second from Stones and another Kane penalty has England up 5-0 at the half.

Here’s Kane smashing in the second and his third goal of the tournament.

And here’s the third from the Manchester United man. Raheem Sterling gets credited with the assist after rolling it into Lingard’s path, but what a strike.

Stones then scored his second goal in the 40th minute. 

Kane then got his second from the spot in the 45th minute. 

It’s 5-0 England at the half. England's never scored five goals in a World Cup match before — they've managed it here in 45 minutes.
