Barcelona won Sunday's Copa del Rey final 2-0 against Sevilla in extra time, but they did it mostly without all-world striker Luis Suarez, who won the Pichichi Award as La Liga's top scorer and had the best season of his career.
Suarez limped off in the second half, and was seen in tears on the bench afterward. It's hard not to feel for the guy.
Suarez solidified his place among the world's best this season, but, in what has become a pattern for the Uruguayan, it all falls apart when it's time to put on the actual Uruguay shirt.

The last two major international tournaments Uruguay played in were the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 Copa America. Suarez was kicked out of the World Cup for biting Italian Giorgio Chiellini and missed the Copa America because he was suspended for biting Giorgio Chiellini.
Barca confirm Luis Suarez's injury (medial hamstring). He will join up with the Uruguay squad on 1 June and continue his treatment there.

Now it looks like he could miss the Copa America Centenario, or at least not be up to his usual standards. If Suarez isn't 100 percent, Uruguay, one of the favorites to win the whole tournament, will be at a severe disadvantage.
