40-Yard Thunder Punt From English 7th Division Is The Goal Of The Weekend

We’ve seen some cracking goals this weekend from the likes of Jean Seri, Kylian Mbappe and Fabian Johnson, but the best undoubtedly transpired in England’s Northern Premier League (the seventh tier of English football) match between Mickleover Sports and North Ferriby United on Frid

Fulham’s Jean Seri Just Absolutely Hammered August’s Goal Of The Month

The Premier League’s Goal of the Month for August hasn’t officially been decided, but we’re almost positive that the debate was settled today. Unless tomorrow’s fixture between Manchester United and Tottenham produces a worldie, it almost certainly belongs to Fulham’s Jean Seri.

During week one of the 2018-19 EPL season, we figured that Ruben Neves might’ve secured the prize with his sumptuous free kick against Everton.

DeAndre Yedlin Goes From Hero To Zero In Four Minutes Against Chelsea

Chelsea kept pact with Liverpool and Watford at the top of the Premier League table by defeating Newcastle United 2-1 Sunday after an entirely forgettable opening 75 minutes sprang into life over the final quarter-hour.

For Newcastle supporters, the approach from Rafa Benitez harkened back to last December’s visit of Manchester City. The Magpies sat inordinately deep and ceded 81 percent of possession to the visitors while playing with five at the back and an incredibly grafting midfield pairing of Mohamed Diame and Ki Sung-Yueng.

Two Americans Scored In The Bundesliga Today And Neither Was Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic has yet to lace up for the new season and Americans in the Bundesliga are already scoring goals in the German top division. Two USMNT defenders found the back of the net on the first full day of Bundesliga action on Saturday. (Bayern Munich opened the season with a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim on Friday.)

John Brooks, the lanky Wolfsburg center back, headed in a corner kick for the first goal in a big 2-1 win over Schalke.

It’s A Day That Ends In ‘Y’ So Mbappé Scored Another Great Goal

Kylian Mbappé is unplayable right now.

After helping France win the World Cup over the summer, he scored two goals in his first match back with PSG last week. He added another goal and an assist on Saturday against Angers, helping the defending champion to a 3-1 victory.

Josef Martinez Sets MLS Single-Season Scoring Record, But It Wasn’t Even The Best Goal Of The Match

Josef Martinez is the new Roger Maris. The new Mark McGwire. The new Barry Bonds. Atlanta United’s Josef Martinez now owns the MLS single-season scoring record.

Martinez scored in the 74th minute, his 28th goal this season, breaking a four-way tie for the MLS single-season scoring record. The record was previously held by Tampa Bay Mutiny’s Roy Lassiter (1996), San Jose Earthquakes’ Chris Wondolowski (2012) and New York Red Bulls’ Bradley Wright-Phillips (2014).

Oh, and it was the match winner, as Atlanta defeated rival Orlando City SC 2-1.

Watch China’s Wang Shanshan Score A Hat Trick Of Hat Tricks — As A Sub

When you’re a striker who starts a match on the bench, you spend most of your time thinking about how you just want to get out there and score a goal to prove to your coach you should’ve been starting. Wang Shanshan did one better — well, eight better.

Max Power Scores His First Sunderland Goal, Cements Himself In Ballon d'Or Running

We brought you the news that Max Power, the man with the greatest name according to Homer Simpson, had signed for Sunderland on loan from Wigan Athletic. While we all knew his name was pretty cool, no one really had any idea of his footballing talents.

Well, Max Power has scored for Sunderland: A looping header past Scunthorpe United’s keeper was the opening goal yesterday, and a rampant Sunderland ended up winning 3-0.

Josef Martinez Ties MLS Goal Scoring Record With 9 Games Still To Play

Atlanta United’s Josef Martinez registered his 27th goal of the 2018 season on Sunday, drawing him level with Roy Lassiter (1996), Chris Wondolowski (2012) and Bradley Wright-Phillips (2016) for most goals ever scored in a single MLS season.
