Chelsea defeated Swiss club Servette FC 2-0 in the Europa Conference League playoffs on Thursday, however a Marc Guiu miss is the big talking point.
The Chelsea youngster was given his first start for the Blues and ended up having a lowlight that will give him nightmares years from now.
In the 51st minute the 18-year-old had the entire goal gaping in front of him after robbing possession from Servette’s goalkeeper. All that was needed was a pass into the goal.
Instead Guiu made a mess of things.

My tactical analysis of Chelsea is that they should score this pic.twitter.com/fn5zkBZXyH

Poor kid, that one is going to haunt him.
Guiu was one of the many 2024 Chelsea summer signings as he joined from Barcelona. He was substituted for Cole Palmer minutes after his open-goal miss.
Chelsea’s goals came from a Christopher Nkunku penalty in the 50th minute and a Noni Madueke strike in the 76th minute.
