A custom Micah Richards Brest jersey went viral during CBS’ Champions League broadcast on Wednesday as the French club surprised two of the pundits with kits.

If you’ve been watching CBS’ Champions League coverage this season then you know all too well about Kate Scott, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards’ favorite joke this season. The crew can hardly keep a straight face whenever the French side “Brest” are brought up.

The four hosts have been milking the Brest the jokes for months and it reached a new level on Wednesday when the club surprised Micah with a hilarious custom shirt.

Richards is a confirmed Brest lover.

The French underdogs are playing in their first-ever season and have gone on an incredible run. After seven “league stage” games Brest have mathematically qualified for the knockout playoffs.

Brest will arguably play their biggest game next as they “host” Real Madrid in the league stage finale. We put the quotes around host as Brest haven’t even been playing their UCL games at their home stadium due to it not meeting the competition’s requirements.

The club’s performances in the Champions League along with the litany of jokes from the CBS crew have skyrocketed Brest’s popularity this season.
