We have good news and bad news United States men’s national team fans. The good news is that we have an amazing Tim Weah goal vs Como goal to watch. The bad news is that he scored the goal with a hamstring injury that will see him miss time.
Juventus opened their new campaign with a 3-0 victory against newly promoted Como 1907 on Monday. USMNT forward Weah was given the start at right wing.
Last season Weah was used in a more defensive wingback position. He proved his worth as a forward with a beautiful goal in first half stoppage time to extend his side’s lead to 2-0.

Weah was dealing with a hamstring issue when he scored the goal and was substituted at halftime. The club reported on Tuesday that he suffered a low-grade hamstring injury and will be assessed again in 10 days.

The injury could see him miss the September international window where the U.S. will play two friendlies against Canada (Sept. 7) and New Zealand (Sept. 10).
It’s looking unlikely that new USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be in charge for those two games as severance pay with his former club Chelsea is delaying his official arrival as the new U.S. head coach.
As for Weah the goal is a promising start to the new season as he only scored once last season during a Coppa Italia game. Yes, that goal was also a rocket.
