Friday night’s Leagues Cup match between Inter Miami and Cruz Azul was a historical moment for soccer in the United States as Lionel Messi made his amazing debut.

What isn’t being talked about as much but deserves a spotlight is the performance from Sergio Busquets who also made his Inter Miami debut.
Coming on in the 51st minute, Busquets had a solid outing stringing together passes and looking for Messi over the top. In his 36-minute cameo the Spaniard completed 30 of his 32 passes and look supremely confident.

Inter Miami and Grêmio are in negotiations for the transfer of Luis Suárez.
