Two Daryl Dike goals vs. Luton Town on Monday upped the Oklahoman’s scoring tally to seven goals in 13 games for Barnsley.
Dike has been a scoring machine for the English Championship side ever since Orlando City loaned him out in February. The 20-year-old’s brace secured an important 2-1 victory as the club pushes for promotion, and Barnsley is now fifth in the league.
Dike bagged the game’s opening goal in the 27th minute with his favored run off the last defender and followed it up with a classy finish into the bottom corner.

In the second half, the USMNT striker doubled Barnsley’s lead after capitalizing on an error from Luton Town’s keeper.
Dike is a force to be reckoned with and his numbers from the Luton Town clash speak for themselves.

In club play Dike is the hottest USMNT player in the world right now. In the last two months, Dike has helped Barnsley record ten victories, two draws and only one loss. He has more than excelled at the No. 9 position on loan and the possibility of a transfer to a Premier League club looms large.
Orlando City is holding out for a $20 million bid on Dike and reportedly turned down a $10 million offer from one of the Premier League’s “Big Six”.
USMNT fans will be keeping a keen eye on Dike. I’m sure American soccer fans had a reaction similar to this one scrolling through Twitter Monday morning.
