English tabloid "The Mirror" recently published an article that described what has happened since Eden Hazard last scored a Premier League goal. Hazard hasn't scored since May 3, 2015, during which time Barcelona have won five trophies and Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 42 goals. But this article isn't about Eden Hazard. It's about an Andre Schurrle hat trick.
The ex-Chelsea winger scored a fantastic hat trick against Hannover for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, and many Chelsea fans were quick to point out that the German appears to like the 1st of March.
Exactly 2 years ago, @Andre_Schuerrle scored a hattrick vs @FulhamFC. He's scored 3 for Wolfsburg tonight #H96WOB https://t.co/l8xzZJKnjm

@Andre_Schuerrle can we tempt you to come back to Chelsea in the summer

His performance reminded Chelsea fans of how good he can be, many of whom remain baffled as to why Chelsea got rid of him. Although, we may have an answer for those fans.
Schurrle has not exactly been lighting it up since his return to the Bundesliga. Before Tuesday, he had only scored one and assisted four in 19 appearances. In the 2014/15 season, he only managed six goals and three assists in 44 appearances for both Chelsea and Wolfsburg across all competitions.
So, Andre Schurrle hat trick aside, Chelsea fans may possibly be guilty of looking at the German through rose-tinted glasses. That being said, he's still done more than Eden Hazard this season (and certainly more than Radamel Falcao) so maybe there's something to it. What do you think Chelsea fans? Would you take him back?
