Fans crucifican al Pocho Guzmán por fallar penal contra Atlas, el equipo de sus amores

No hay que ser un iluminado para saber que Víctor Guzmán tuvo una noche de terror. Chivas perdió 1-0 en la ida de los cuartos de final del Clausura 2023 ante Atlas, su enemigo de barrio, y el Pocho pudo haber cambiado la historia si hubiese convertido el penal que tuvo en los pies.

Pero no es todo. Como extra se suman las recriminaciones que le hacen los fans del Rebaño. No solo por el hecho de haber fallado desde el manchón, si no que también por su reconocido pasado como simpatizante rojinegro.

"La verdad el equipo que toda mi vida ha sido el amor de mis amores es el Atlas", dijo Guzmán en una entrevista con Univision hace cinco años. Y recientemente las Chivas publicaron y luego borraron una foto del Pocho de cuando era niño sin darse cuentas que sus espinilleras tenían el escudo atlista.

Uno obviamente cree que Guzmán no falló a propósito. Además hay que darle crédito Camilo Vargas, arquero del Atlas, que se lanzó al lado correcto.

Pero vaya uno a explicarle eso a un fanático con las hormonas revoloteando a mil por hora. 

Desde luego, no faltaron los que prefirieron insultarlo, más aún cuando el remate pudo haber puesto a Chivas arriba en el marcador y quizás haber matado anímicamente a un Atlas que 15 minutos después marcaría el gol de la victoria.

La conquista rojinegra, por supuesto vino en los pies de Julián Quiñones. El colombiano aprovechó un pivoteo de Julio Furch a la Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, tras un largo saque de Camilo Vargas, y enterró el balón en las redes del Rebaño.

Atlas la verdad es que jugó mejor y la ventaja que logró se hizo corta considerando que también tuvo un par de disparos en el horizontal de Brian Lozano y el mismo Quiñones.

La revancha con sabor tapatío se jugará el domingo 14 de mayo en el Akron, casa de Chivas, a las 9:05 p.m. ET.
