Tarde o temprano iba a pasar: DT explica por qué Memo Ochoa ahora es suplente en la Salernitana

Salernitana jugó este lunes ante el Hellas Verona y llamó la atención que Guillermo Ochoa estuviera sentado en el banco de suplentes. 

El arquero mexicano llegó al club italiano en enero pasado y pese a no entregar vallas invictas y sufrir una catastrófica goleada 8-2 ante la Atalanta, su rendimiento era uno de los más destacados en un equipo que lucha con garras y dientes por no descender. De hecho, Memo fue incluso elegido por los aficionados granates como el mejor jugador del mes.

El mensaje con el reconocimiento de los simpatizantes, sin embargo, parece no haber llegado al técnico Davide Nicola, quien decidió sentar a Ochoa para darle la titularidad a Luigi Sepe.

Memo Ochoa suplente en Salernitana: ¿Por qué?

¿Injusto? Quizás. No obstante, todo estaba escrito.

Ochoa firmó con la Salernitana luego de que su arquero titular, Luigi Sepe, sufriera una lesión que lo tendría fuera de las canchas por varias semanas.

Y ahora que Sepe está recuperado, Nicola solo respetó la jerarquía que había establecido a comienzos de temporada, antes de que llegara Ochoa.

"Contrataron [los dirigentes] a Memo Ochoa para darnos una mano hasta el regreso de Sepe. Es un rol particular y hay jerarquías. Sepe ha ocupado con razón su lugar", afirmó Nicola una vez acabado el partido, el cual terminó con derrota 1-0 de la Salernitana.

La luz de esperanza para Ochoa es que el entrenador dejó la puerta abierta para realizar rotaciones en el futuro.

"Tenemos dos porteros excelentes. La Juve rota a sus porteros, no sé por qué no podemos hacerlo nosotros", señaló.

Cuando Ochoa firmó su contrato lo hizo por seis meses, hasta el final de la temporada 2022-23. ¿Afectará esto su continuidad con el equipo italiano? Y si no sigue ¿volverá al América o emprenderá nuevos rumbos?

Solo el tiempo lo dirá.
