Zlatan Ibrahimovic Scores In His First Start Since Major Knee Injury

It’s hugely unfortunate for Carabao Cup quarterfinalists Bristol City, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s feel-good return following last season’s significant knee injury found its happy ending Wednesday after the big Swede scored in his first start of the 2017-18 season.

It’s a deflected effort from a free kick that should’ve never been awarded, but Bristol’s anger is Zlatan’s sweet redemption. Ibra has made substitute appearances for United in both the Premier League and Champions League over November and December, but the 36-year-old was handed his first start in the League Cup.

A Zlatan movie is finally coming, according to Screen International. The movie, based on Zlatan's autobiography I am Zlatan (one of the best athlete memoirs ever written), will be produced by David Lagercrantz, who co-wrote I am Zlatan.

Zlatan-Adriano Partnership Remains One Of Modern Football’s Greatest What Ifs

When Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived at Inter Milan from Juventus for nearly $30 million in August 2006, the 24-year-old Swede was thrilled over the possibility of forming a devastating and prolonged partnership with 24-year-old Brazilian striker Adriano. The two had dominated Italian football since 2004, and the Nerazzurri looked set to rule the competition for years to come with two of the world’s most feared young forwards.

Only A Dummy Would Think Sweden Is Better Off With Zlatan

The speculation began even before Sweden beat Italy to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and once that final whistle blew everyone wanted to know what was going through the mind of one Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic And Paul Pogba In Squad To Face Newcastle United

The footballing gods are fickle. One month ago, a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace sent Newcastle United to the lofty heights of sixth in the Premier League table, in front of both Arsenal and Liverpool. Now, after being held scoreless for 180 minutes in defeats to Burnley and Bournemouth and falling to 11th, the Toon travel to Old Trafford to play a Manchester United side welcoming back both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba to the side.

Viking Invasion: Three Nordic Teams Advance To The World Cup For The First Time In History

Denmark and Sweden World Cup qualification is historic. For the first time in history, three Nordic teams have qualified to the World Cup.

Iceland, Sweden and Denmark will be leading a full-on Viking invasion of Russia next summer.

However, this is not the first time there has been a massive Scandinavian incursion into Russia.

Interestingly, historians argue it was the Rus — an ancient Viking tribe of Swedish origin — who first came to modern Russia in the ninth century AD.
