A word of advice: never play chicken with Carlos Tevez.
During a match between Boca Juniors and Newell's Old Boys, Tevez made a great run, received the ball, found himself one on one with the keeper, shot, had the ball saved then kneed the keeper in the face (accidentally, it appears) and broke the man's jaw. So that play had everything.
John Goossens is just like the rest of us. He dreams of someday being awarded a professional soccer contract, of being paid to play the game he loves regardless of where that may be. Sure, Goossens is a product of the renowned Ajax Youth Academy, made 30 appearances for the Eredivisie’s Feyenoord and scored for the Netherlands U-21 team, but, deep down, he’s a dreamer just like the rest of us.
Diego Forlan scored a perfect hat trick this weekend for Penarol, reminding everyone of how brilliant of player he was (and still is apparently). He scored a goal with his right foot, his left foot, one brilliant one with his head and added two assists in a 5-1 demolition of Defensor Sporting in the Uruguayan Primera Division. FC Barcelona traveled to England and beat Arsenal 2 - 0. Messi scored both goals, the first in the 71st minute and the second on a penalty in the 83rd. While in Turino, Italy, Bayern took a two goal lead from Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben. Mueller scored the first goal in the 43rd minute and Robben added the 2nd in the 55th. Juventus battled back for the 2 - 2 tie with goals in the 63rd and 76th minute. The first was scored by Paulo Dybala and the tying goal came from Stefano Sturaro.
USL side FC Cincinnati hasn't even played a proper competitive match yet, but that hasn't stopped them from scoring an absolute worldie. In a friendly match against Icelandic side KR Reykjavik, a long ball was cleared only as far as Corben Bone (yes, that is his real name), who took it on the volley first time. The end result? Let's just say that Reykjavik were totally boned. Sorry, that was bad.
Today in How Not To Take A Free Kick, we have Generic Yellow Team trying to put one in against Ajax in the Netherlands, and, you guessed it, failing terribly.
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is one of the happiest dudes in the Premier League. We offer as evidence this video of Sakho zooming around Paris on a motorbike talking to himself in French. He spies former PSG and current France international teammate Blaise Matuidi standing by a car and just has to pull over and say hello.

14 touches; two goals; three assists. Talk about clinical. Valencia smashed Rapid Wien six-nil in the Europa League, and to say that youngster Santi Mina was on fire is akin to saying that Donald Trump is a little offputting.
The announcer's call was as amazing as the volley goal. Aritz Aduriz of Athletic Club Bilbao scored a stunning volley against Olympique de Marseille in Europa League. Aduriz absolutely blasted the volley from 35 yards out. His 53rd minute goal was the game winner for Bilbao.

The late 19th century to the end of the apartheid era in South Africa saw the rise of townships, urban living areas, built on the periphery of towns and cities. Reserved for non-whites, these sprawling and often underdeveloped slums were contrived as separate living spaces for working class and unemployed black, colored and Indian inhabitants.
Townships were also referred to as locations or lokasie in Afrikaans. Lokasie gave way to the colloquial term kasi, a word which now encompasses the flavor and distinct style of the townships.
