Another season is about to end, and while some people may want to remember all the great things that have happened this year, some people clearly want to bask in the s***. The shameful, shambolic, embarrassing, down right bone-headed s***. I am talking about the worst goals of the season, of course.
Currently playing in the Polish top flight, Sebastian Nowak thought the game was over when table leading opponents, Wisla Krakow scored in the second minute of stoppage time. It is safe to assume, Wisla thought they would be victorious on the day as well. However, Nowak had other ideas and one minute later came in unmarked on a corner kick and executed a perfect header to tie the game up. Pandamonium ensued and the match would end in a 2 - 2 draw.
Who doesn't love a good screamer ? We live for those moments when a player just receives the ball, says "Well, f*** it," and then proceeds to wallop it with literally zero finesse. The soccer gods were apparently smiling this weekend because we got not one, but two outrageous screamers.
Of course, we can't just have two screamers without determining which one is better. We're humans after all. Everything must be ranked and constrained to a value system otherwise we go crazy. With that in mind, here are the two fantastic goals. Which one is better?
The odds your coach wants you trying a 30 yard bicycle kick in a game are probably 0. But Javi Gomez doesn't care what manager Ángel García Cabezali thinks, and that's a good thing because the UD Socuéllamos player scored the bicycle kick that could potentially land him on the Puskas list. Gomez chested a deep pass into the air before exectuing a perfect chilena past an out of position keeper. There isn't really much else to say about this goal because it's perfect. We'll give Napoli this: they put up quite a fight. Gonzalo Higuain and company kept the Serie A race at least watchable for most of the season, and for 88 minutes Monday against Roma it looked like the race would continue, at least mathematically, for another week. Then Roma's Radja Nainggolan put Napoli in a 1-0 hole and handed the Scudetto to Paul Pogba and Juventus, the Old Lady's fifth straight title.
And then during the celebration, Paul Pogba, one of the world's most coordinated humans, got super turnt and did this.
Rico Zulkarnain is apparently the second coming of some sort of futsal god. The 26-year-old Welsh-Indonesian recently become Wales’ all-time top futsal goalscorer and plays professionally in the Australian Futsal League.
He also recently played in the National FAFL Cup, won tournament MVP, won the golden boot for top scorer and scored this ridiculous goal:

Luis Nani was ready to send in a freekick hoping to find his teammate's head. The angle was difficult for shot on goal, however Nani is not your average football player. Instead of swinging in a cross, Nani went for goal and floated it into the back right corner over the keeper's outstretched paw. Nani's goal put Turkish giants, Fenerbahce up 2 - 0 right before half time. RVP would add a third in the 90'.
