A Tale of Two Halves Sees The USA Beat Haiti 1-0

The United States Men’s National Team was always supposed to beat Haiti, the 79th ranked nation in the world. They should have beat Haiti like they should have beat Honduras, except even more so.

So when Friday night’s match in Foxborough, Massachusetts finished 1-0, it was hard to not feel a little let down. The result was a mediocrity, but luckily for us, the result was not the only thing that mattered.

The USMNT Shows Its Flaws Against Honduras. Still Wins.

You missed it, didn’t you? You missed CONCACAF soccer. Nothing makes you appreciate the quality of soccer around the world like the lack of it in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. That might seem harsh, but  after seeing the USA play poorly in its most difficult group game and still win, there can be no doubt that it is the truth.

Gold Cup Preview: USMNT Roster

With the Gold Cup fast approaching, the 23-man roster for the USMNT has been set.

2015 Gold Cup Group Stage Preview: How To Watch The Opening Round

America is on one of their biggest soccer highs ever after watching its women take home the World Cup from Canada 2015, and now hopefully that momentum is being shifted over to the men as they prepare to take on Honduras in the Gold Cup opener.

The tournament lasts from July 7th to July 26th, with the group stage taking place over eight days in which each nation will play three games. The USA have an emphatic 28-1-2 record since the inaugural match in 1991, and look to extend that record even further in order to become the team to fear in July.

American Defender DeAndre Yedlin Will Grow In England

When DeAndre Yedlin was transferred to Tottenham Hotspur in 2014, it was music to Jurgen Klinsmann’s ears as he finally began to see more American national players move to Europe. As the MLS continues to grow and develop into an elite league, it becomes very important for players on Klinsmann’s current roster to play big European matches.

The US Just Beat Germany For The First Time Ever On German Soil

Ok, seriously guys, what is happening with the world? The United States was not supposed to be this good, this quickly. Jurgen Klinsmann wasn’t supposed to be finding kids practically off the street — or Straße, in this case — and turn them into world beaters. We shouldn’t have been up 2-1 at any point against Portugal in the World Cup. We shouldn’t have pulled off that ridiculous comeback against the Dutch last Friday.

Can the U.S. Duplicate Their Performance Against The Netherlands?

After an amazing 4-3 win in a comeback against the Dutch, the Americans continue to Germany to take on Jogi Low's World Cup winning team.
