Mexico lost the war against the infamous, discriminatory chant – here is why

Mexico had a rough night against the United States in the Nations League on Thursday.

The USMNT completely dominated El Tri in a performance that would be hard to forget. However, beyond the tactic and strategic horrors of the squad managed by Diego Cocca, the worst part of the game was the incapacity of players and fans to accept the defeat with any sense of dignity.

Dominant 3-0 USMNT win vs. Mexico marred by cowardly fights and pathetic Mexico fans

The United States men’s national team dominated Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League semifinal with a 3-0 victory. What should have been a moment to celebrate was disgraced by fights between players and repeated homophobic chants from Mexican fans.

Before we get into the disgusting ending of the game, let’s take a quick look at the highlights.

Premier League relegation battle as it happened: Down goes Leicester and Leeds

I'll be honest, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about how we don't have promotion/relegation in the United States. I guess I've become numb to the discussion since it seems like it's never happening. But it's days like Sunday, with Everton, Leicester and Leeds dancing with the devil for the safety of 17th-place, when it's just unfathomable that we don't get to enjoy this spectacle stateside.
