The days are flying and Mexico's debut in the 2022 World Cup is near. 

Gerardo Martino will wait until Nov. 14 to announce the final squad for the tournament, but at this point, the core of players that will be facing Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Poland is pretty clear. 

So clear that we can already start envisioning the XI we will see in the debut against Poland on Nov. 22.

Every four years, an elite sect of footballers emerge from their cryotherapy chambers without having aged a day since the game's last showpiece event. In Costa Rica there exists the tico-taka, which was on full display during a 2-0 win over Nigeria on Wednesday night. 

It's true we're used to seeing Costa Rica with a more rough and raw style of play, but from time to time they show they can produce beautiful and poetic moments of fútbol. And that's when this tico-taka appears. 

Gregg Berhalter’s official 26-man United States men’s national team roster for the World Cup was revealed and wow was it full of surprises. Some big USMNT World Cup roster snubs came with the shock inclusions.
