Brighton recorded its first-ever Premier League victory against Chelsea with a 4-1 win at the Amex on Saturday. A shocking Christian Pulisic miss vs Brighton was one of the lowlights for the Blues in the defeat.
Pulisic got his second start in-a-row on Saturday. He recorded a great assist to Kai Havertz on Tuesday in Champions League action vs. RB Salzburg but had a forgettable performance against Brighton.
The worst moment from the USMNT No. 10 came in the 17th minute when he should have brought Chelsea within one. With Brighton leading 2-0 Conor Gallagher saw his shot from close-range saved by Robert Sánchez. The rebound fell right to the foot of Pulisic who skewed his shot wide.

This is another addition to the Pulisic miss compilation. The American had arguably his worst performance of the season on Saturday. On top of his missed shot he lost possession several times and didn’t look great in defense.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter decided to start Pulisic at right wingback and it was once again revealed why he isn’t a defender. Brighton’s third goal saw Pulisic completely lose track of a run from Pervis Estupiñán who fired in a cross that resulted in an own goal.

Pulisic and Chelsea looked better in the second half, however it wasn’t enough to overcome the three-goal deficit. A headed goal from Havertz was the only consolation for the Blues.
