Christian Pulisic had a memorable Serie A debut with AC Milan on Monday setting up one goal and scoring one of his own in a 2-0 victory vs. Bologna.
Pulisic’s goal vs. Bologna is arguably one of the best goals in his career. In the 21st minute the USMNT star linked up beautifully with his former Chelsea teammate Olivier Giroud and then rifled a shot from 20 yards out.
Despite three Bologna defenders around him, Pulisic still got his shot off. Bologna’s goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski had no chance saving that one.

Brilliant stuff from Captain America. That must feel so good for him and come as such a relief. This is his first club goal in a competitive game since Oct. 8, 2022, when he scored against Wolves in the Premier League.
It had been 317 days between the two goals.
He also helped set up Milan’s first goal with a good delivery into the box that Tijjani Reijnders squared for Giroud.

According to FotMob, Pulisic finished as the highest rated player for either team. On top of his goal and hockey assist he completed two successful dribbles, created two chances and completed 31 of his 38 passes.

He was substituted out of the game in the 74th minute.
Couldn’t have asked for a better debut in a new league. Pulisic also makes history as the first American to score in three of Europe’s big five leagues (Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A).
To think Milan only had to pay Chelsea $24 million for him. What a steal of a deal.
