Carlos Lobaton scored two absolutely world class goals about 18 minutes apart from one another. The first comes off of a corner kick where he didn't even need the help of a teammate to put the ball in the back of the net. Sure, the keeper and defender should have done better, but who cares, it was awesome.
Here it is in slow motion.
Normally having a rip from 70-yards out would be frowned upon. But 20-minutes later, Carlos Lobaton saw an opportunity on the counterattack and thought, "heck, I already scored from an impossible angle on a corner kick, might as well let this one fly." (Alternatively, he might have thought, "This keeper doesn't seem very good at his job, this just might work!")
Peruvian Primera Division rivals Sporting Cristal and Juan Arich were already in a scoring frenzy, netting a total of 5 goals in the first 42 minutes. Then Lobaton's added another with this bomb in the 44th minute with this bomb, sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy. Check it out below - the keeper wasn't even close to making a save.
