TV Preview: Arsenal v Chelsea: the Bundesliga is back after a month off although most German sides were busy during the sabbatical. Chicharito did what Chicharito does, scoring goals in Florida of all places and with 19 goals in 22 appearances, the Mexican National player is getting glances from English sides once more.
Speaking of on fire, I picked four of five results correct last week, only missing on Atlas v. America. I can guarantee it will not be as good this week! Here is one of the top five, can’t miss matches from around the world this weekend:
TV Preview: Arsenal v Chelsea - Sunday 11:00 am EST - NBCSN
Chelsea needed a 98th minute, offside John Terry goal against Everton to keep Guus Hiddink’s unbeaten start as the Blues’ manager in tact. This week, Chelsea hops the tube to North London to pay a visit to Arsene Wenger and his Gunners.
Arsenal is unbeaten in its last five league matches, but draws at Liverpool and Stoke City have the North London side tied in the table with sputtering Leicester City while Manchester City sits one point behind and poised to take control of the league.
Wenger will lean on Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud to press the Blues’ suspect back four while Petr Cech gets another chance to push his former team closer to the relegation zone. Chelsea will rely on Willian’s superior ball placement to find targets in the area, or undefended corners of the goal.
Diego Costa is nursing a shin injury so it is unclear if the “bull in the china shop” will make an appearance at the Emirates. If Costa cannot go, Chelsea could put Oscar up front and go striker-less.
Prediction: Gritty English football = 0-0.
