Here's what we've come to expect from Tottenham in Europe: bed-wetting, crying, tantrums and maybe a little bit of violence.
Spurs are having an excellent season in the Premier League, but once they leave England they've fallen into the habit of completely falling apart. Thursday's Europa League ouster at the hands of Gent was merely the latest in a long line of woeful Tottenham continental performances.
Down 0-1 on aggregate moving into the home leg, Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the 10th minute, levelling Tottenham and giving them hope. That hope lasted about 10 minutes, until Harry Kane gave Gent the away goal they were desperately seeking.
Then Dele Alli made it worse. Much worse.
How Dele Alli hasn't broken that guy's leg I will never know. Horrendous challenge. pic.twitter.com/LXTOvg4oa3

The match finished 2-2, but Alli's shameful tackle will overshadow what was truly an awful European adventure for Tottenham.
