And perhaps the main reason for this is Argentinian coach Diego Simeone. El Cholo apparently has found a way to make his team Barcelona’s most dangerous rival. He has been behind every Colchonero’s victory. He is so influential that he is now being compared to Johan Cruyff.
In a game where everyone expected Messi to shine and pull Barcelona into the semifinals, like Cristiano did on tuesday with Real Madrid, The local team erased the Argentinian star from the field, something that, again, only seems to happen when he plays Atletico.
