Have you ever watched the Hyundai A-League, the professional league in Australia? No? that’s what we thought. This is probably not the best introduction you’ll ever get to the division, but it sure is a memorable one.
Australia is not exactly known as a bastion for class soccer, and after watching this video, you will understand why. We’ve got jersey’s without numbers, own goals galore — including one scored with a substitutes very first touch, so many headshot the announcer should probably yell “KILLTACULAR,” and enough missed open net tap-ins to make you want to travel the world for the rest of your life putting square pegs into square holes.
It’s a long video, but one that’s definitely worth watching to the end. Well, only if you enjoy watching old men in suits making fools of themselves on the biggest stage possible, that is.
Oh, and to that player that got kissed by a fan towards the end: GET IN!
