Santiago Giménez is off to a prolific goalscoring start in the 2023-24 season with Feyenoord and last season’s performances, along with his recent form, have placed the Mexican under the radar of some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Santiago Giménez goal vs. Go Ahead Eagles; reaches double-digits in Eredivisie
Feyenoord hosted Go Ahead Eagles in the seventh match day of the Eredivisie season this Saturday in what was a comfortable 3-1 win for the Rotterdam club, with yet another Giménez goal.
In the 77th minute and coincidentally seconds before his substitution, the 22-year-old Mexican received the ball at the heart of the box, held the opposing defender and found a way to put the ball in the back of the net for the tenth time this season.

Too easy for ‘El Bebote’.
This was Giménez’s fifth goal in the last three matches, including a hat-trick against rival’s Ajax last week.

He is the first goalscorer to reach double-digits in the Eredivisie this season and the joint-highest across Europe’s top 5 leagues.
…a goalscoring feat that has failed to remain ignored across the world’s biggest talent-scouting clubs.
Real Madrid, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea… what is Santi Giménez’s next club?
Santi-fever is making its way around Europe.
As mentioned, Santiago Giménez has had a great start to the current campaign in the Netherlands, following a very successful first year in Europe last season.

He was Feyenoord’s top-scorer in their first league-winning season since 2017.
His fantastic goalscoring closure to the previous season, along with his plethoric start to the current season, has him competing amongst some of Europe’s biggest stars in race for 2023’s top-scorer.
When it comes to goals, only Harry Kane (24) and Erling Haaland (23) have scored more than the former Cruz Azul man in 2023.

This has turned heads around Europe, with recent rumors placing the 22-year-old under the radar of clubs the likes of none other than Real Madrid.
According to multiple sources, The Merengues wouldn’t be opposed to making an offer for the Mexican during the upcoming January window. His price tag, along with their utter need of another striker, would sway the Madrid club onto making an offer for the Feyenoord player.

Real Madrid need to sign Santiago Gimenez this summer because of these reasons
1. 32 ⚽️ in 52 matches
2. 22 years old
3. Went from bench to starter
4. White and Blues Eyes (Perfect for Real Madrid)
5. Real Madrid will make back what they paid for him with jersey sales pic.twitter.com/pWiE6rF3ub— TheMexicanLad (@TheMexicanLad_) September 30, 2023
Sources also confirmed the attendance of multiple scouts during the Ajax-Feyenoord match held at the Johan Cruyff Arena last Sunday — all primarily making the trip to analyze the Mexican’s performance.

We are definitely seeing him in another club next season.
Feyenoord's next game will be against Atlético Madrid next Wednesday when they visit the Wanda Metropolitano in the second matchday of the UEFA Champions League, though without Giménez due to suspension carrying over from last season's Europa League. We will see if ‘El Bebote’ is able to continue his fantastic league form when Feyenoord faces PEC Zwolle next Sunday.
