Samsung Release Final Chapter of "GALAXY11"

Samsung’s World Cup campaign for the GALAXY S5 was interesting to say the least. The campaign started 7 months ago with the first chapter of the excessively long videos. Two months ago, right as World Cup hype was surging, the company came out with video that showed Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney among others training for an epic battle against the aliens of team ‘Hurakan’ to save planet Earth. The video exploded with 54 million views and became one of the most popular videos among the World Cup campaigns.

Samsung then released the first part of the match versus the aliens and to everyone's disappointment, the entire thing was digitized and didn’t actually have the real players in the ad like their first videos. Sure, it got 11.7 million views, but the sci-fi type video was a little much and a little cheesy. It left viewers with the question - can football save the world? The outcome is obvious and part two of the match isn’t any better. Check it out below.

Samsung released the final spot of their campaign two days after the World Cup final instead of on the day of the final, which has gotten slack from the media. Tell us what you think of Samsung's campaign, was it good? Or just a little over the top?
