Ronaldo Rewards Teenagers After They Run Onto The Field

Some lads invaded the pitch during warmups for a Portugal international friendly. Instead of getting kicked off, they got a gift from Ronaldo.

I wonder how many thousands of groundskeepers and security people around the world groaned when they saw this video. Pitch invaders are probably the most annoying part of their jobs, and here is Cristiano Ronaldo, a star among stars, rewarding two of them. It’s just about as close to a rousing endorsement as he could give. 

The youths in this video were probably aided by the fact that the game had not actually started yet. I doubt Ronaldo — or any other player, for that matter — would have been so magnanimous had these guys run onto the field in the 90th minute.
