The legend himself, Ronaldinho, returned to action in the Premier Futsal 2016 tournament in India, and we're glad to say that he's still got it. Ronaldinho's Goa team may have lost 4-2 to Hernan Crespo and Kolkata to start the tournament, but there was still plenty to smile about as Dinho provided some moments of pure class.
He's a little rusty to be sure, but it's always a pleasure to watch Ronaldinho with the ball at his feet. It's all so effortless, so easy for him. Not to mention how great it was to see Crespo back on the scoresheet as well.
Someone who showed no signs of rust, despite being Louis Van Gaal's slapping stick for the past two years, was Ryan Giggs.
His Mumbai team effortlessly glided past Chennai 4-2, and Giggsy looked very much like he could walk back onto the pitch at Old Trafford at the drop of a hat. The game also featured futsal legend Falcao for Chennai and he scored an absolute beauty to level the scores.
For a tournament that looked very much like an overblown PR stunt at first glance, we're glad to be outed as a bunch of miserable cynics. Premier Futsal 2016 has been a joy so far.
