U.S. Soccer released its latest uniform on Wednesday morning that both the women and men’s teams will be wearing for the foreseeable future. The new USWNT kit reveal video is what has stood out the most.
Before getting into the reveal video, here are the new jerseys. Some pun-mastermind is real proud of themselves for the whole “stars in stripes” saying.

These aren’t no Nigeria 2018 World Cup jerseys, but they’re not the worst thing that’s ever graced the pitch. The USMNT will don these stripy bois during their 2022 World Cup qualifying efforts and these could appear at the Olympics for the USWNT.
After results around @Concacaf last night, our full path to the 2022 @FIFAWorldCup is now !

The reveal of the jersey has drawn my attention the most. The scenario is fascinating. Essentially, you have two teams who are tasked with selling/revealing an identical new product. Obviously, a hype video was needed of the players wearing the new kits.
We’re all on the same team here so this is a friendly competition for who had the better jersey reveal video. I do wish that the USWNT and USMNT revealed them together. Imagine a video with Alex Morgan, Christian Pulisic, Rose Lavelle, Weston McKennie, Crystal Dunn, Sergiño Dest and the list of stars goes on. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a crossover and have two separate videos to watch.
Let’s start with the USMNT’s kit reveal video.

Not too shabby, not too shabby. Bonus points for having the Concacaf Nations League trophy featured in the video. Overall, I’d give this a seven out of ten. Well put together and we saw Yunus Musah smile so no complaints.
Now on to the USWNT’s kit reveal video.

ENCORE! ENCORE!
The music, the cheeky After Effects usage and the transitions are all on point. Ten out of ten.
This isn’t the hype video we deserved. This was the hype video we needed.
