Lionel Messi scored his 55th goal for the Argentina National Team, surpassing Gabriel Batistuta and becoming Argentina's single all-time leading scorer in a 4-0 victory over the USA.
Honestly, it was not as bad of a blowout as we thought is would be.
Ezequiel Lavezzi opened the scoring in the third minute and Messi broke the record with a free kick just before halftime. Gonzalo Higuain scored twice in the second half and that was it.

It was a dominating performance from Argentina, who did not allow the USMNT a single shot in the game (we maintain Pulisic's effort in the second half was a pass).
Argentina will face the winner (in their third major international final in a row) of tomorrow's semifinal between Chile and Colombia, and, after this performance, we have to fancy their chances taking the whole thing.
The USA will be left with this consolation: at least they didn't lose as bad as Mexico.
