Manchester United On The Verge Of Smashing World Transfer Record For Paul Pogba

After seeing their $115 million offer for Paul Pogba swiftly declined by Juventus, Manchester United have reportedly returned with an improved offer of nearly $122 million.

According to The Guardian, the improved fee is also reliant upon Manchester United agreeing to pay the entirety of Pogba’s agent fee. Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, is set to pocket nearly $25 million should the transfer go through. This fee is generally split between the two clubs involved in the deal, but Juventus are demanding that United pay the whole fee if they are to sign off on the transfer.

As it stands, the fee would eclipse the amount Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale by around $8 million. United have also agreed to purchase Pogba’s commercial rights while paying him an extra $5.5 million per year over five years.

Paul Pogba would join Manchester United’s high-profile signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in their attempt to regain Premier League supremacy under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United open their Premier League campaign against Bournemouth on Sunday, August 14th. Bournemouth have just smashed their own transfer record by paying nearly $20 million for Liverpool’s Jordon Ibe.
