Here's a thing the Guardian reported that caused a round of chuckling to be heard through our office. It was just me chuckling, but it could be heard throughout the office.
The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season but United have exercised an option to extend it by 12 months, meaning it now runs out in the summer of 2018.
LOLLLLLLL.
Another year of Marouane Fellaini in red is the gift that keeps on giving for everyone who hates Manchester United. Watching that man run around beside a player as good as Paul Pogba is both beautifully sad and hilarious. Pogba doesn't deserve this.
Really, this move is just to make sure Manchester United get some money for Fellaini as opposed to letting him leave this summer for free. Personally, I think Manchester United have enough money already to just let Fellaini go and not be on their soccer team anymore. However, OI am not a Manchester United fan, so I hope they keep Fellaini around forever.
And Bastian Schweinsteiger will continue to sit on the bench and brood.
