Former USMNT player and current Fox Soccer commentator Stuart Holden will host the Kick In For Houston celebrity soccer match on Saturday to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief funds through Dynamo Charities. The match will be at 6 p.m. (central) at the Houston Dynamo’s BBVA Compass Stadium.
Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of Houston and South Texas in August, prompting Holden, who grew up in Houston, to create the Kick In For Houston charity event. Texas-native Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Mia Hamm, Steve Nash, Roger Clemens, Brian McBride, Taylor Twellman, Alexi Lalas and Kyle Martino are just some of the players who will take part in the match. Donovan, Dempsey and Hamm represent the top two males and No. 2 woman in all-time scoring for the U.S. national teams.
All ticket proceeds and donations go directly to relief funds for Houstonians who are still trying to rebuild after Hurricane Harvey caused some of the worst flooding the country has ever seen. Kick In For Houston has a target goal of raising $500,000 and is currently 45 percent of the way there.

Those who want to donate can either purchase tickets to give to people affected by the storm or make a straightforward donation to the organization. You can also donate in the name of one of the players involved in a sort of competition between the players. Or, if you live nearby, just purchase tickets for yourself to attend.
The match will be broadcast live via Periscope, Facebook Live and YouTube and on delay on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. central on FS1 because FS1 couldn’t be bothered to show it live instead of something called UFC.
