Jonathan Klinsmann is young and still has a lot of growing up to do. Goalkeepers generally improve with experience more so than other positions and tend to peak in their late 20s and early 30s. So we're not that worried about him yet.
That said, he should stop watching tapes of Joe Hart.

Although Joe Hart and this season's version of Claudio Bravo have accomplished much in their careers, and played for some very big clubs, Klinsmann should stop trying to emulate them. Those keepers are allowed to screw up hilariously when trying to play the ball with their feet because they are either very good at making saves or are very handsome.
Klinsmann should look to other goalkeepers, who don't make a habit of shooting themselves in the feet at the worst possible moments, as his career north stars. That is all.
