Think of a meteor that unexpectedly appears in sight. It moves at remarkable speed through the atmosphere, in flames, dazzling the beholder. Harry Kane is such a force of nature. Not only that, he is also a romantic.
After his stunning brace against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, everybody is talking about (and wishing they could sign) Harry Kane.
But what are the keys to the young striker’s success?
Kane has been a Spurs fan since he was a kid and now plays and, more importantly, scores for the team he loves. Not even the long claws of Jose Mourinho could snatch him from North London and take him to Manchester United.
Harry Kane has now won the Golden Boot two times in a row. The year before, he was runner-up. He has scored 80 EPL goals and is close to matching Tévez and Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of 84.
Not even the likes of “Kun” Agüero and Romelu Lukaku can keep up with the 24-year-old Englishman’s goal-scoring rate of 0.67 goals per game. At 24, Messi had the exact same efficiency rate.
In fact, only Ruud van Nistelrooy and Brazilian legend Ronaldo scored more frequently than Kane when they were his age.

Moreover, Kane is only 24 years old, which allows Tottenham fans to dream big. Even though Phil Neville recently said Kane may have to leave Tottenham in order to become (truly) world class, this is not necessary the case.
Take for instance Totti, who played for La Roma his whole career. The Italian genius only won a league title, two Coppa Italia and two Super Coppa Italiana playing for his beloved team in over twenty five years.
Surely he would have been more successful playing for Real Madrid, Milan, or Bayern Munich, but he decided to remain faithful to his true colors, a quality contemporary players rarely have.
Many think despite his love for Spurs, Harry Kane will consider leaving if Tottenham doesn’t win anything in the next couple of years.
In response, Spurs Manager Pochettino has now proclaimed Kane doesn’t need to win trophies in order to prove he is one of the best.
Among Kane’s most outstanding virtues are his strong physicality, his ability to shoot quickly and accurately after getting hold of the ball, his two footedness, decent speed and heading.
But perhaps more importantly, it is his mental strength what sets him apart from other players.
Harry Kane is said to have a humble, unassuming personality that helps him stay focused on football and scoring. He has never been involved in scandals of any kind.
He is ‘Clean’ Harry, and this might be one of the most important reasons for his success.
Misquoting Clint Eastwood in “Dirty Harry”: “Harry Kane, the most powerful striker in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”
Who needs 'Dirty Harry' when you have Harry Kane?
