Neymar’s return to the Seleção for a pair of September friendlies against the USMNT and El Salvador brought forth the requisite questions concerning his World Cup antics, and the Paris Saint-Germain star was measured in his response to being labelled a diver before meeting the U.S. in New Jersey on Friday.
But the inquest followed the 26-year-old on to the pitch last night after he was on the receiving end of a foul by American defender DeAndre Yedlin. As spotted on Twitter, it wasn’t hard to discern Yedlin’s reaction to the decision.
Yoo Yedlin has me dying over here, making fun of Neymar and his dives.

But after the match, and Brazil’s comfortable 2-0 win, Neymar would have the last laugh. When asked about Yedlin’s comments, the Brazilian fired back: “Unfortunately I don’t have much to say. I feel sorry for him. He’s the type of player who… I don’t know so I have no reason to be worried about it.”

Brazil returns to action on Tuesday with a match against El Salvador at FedExField in Landover, Maryland. The unknown Yedlin and his teammates will also play Tuesday night against Mexico in Nashville.
