National Women’s Soccer League champions Gotham FC are the talk of free agency. The Bats have their eyes set on several high-profile players and have so far confirmed the signings of two USWNT stars.
Crystal Dunn and Tierna Davidson are the first two players set to take their talents to the east coast for the 2024 season.
Gotham FC announced the signing of Dunn on New Year’s Eve and then revealed Davidson as a new player on Tuesday.

Dunn was previously playing for the Portland Thorns and will now be with Gotham FC through 2026.
Davidson will also be with Gotham FC through 2026 as she leaves the club that drafted her, the Chicago Red Stars. The 25-year-old USWNT defender will be tasked with the tall order of filling Ali Krieger’s defensive role.
Krieger retired at the end of the 2023 season.
The two new Gotham signings were special guests on CBS Mornings to discuss their big moves and future.

This might only be the beginning of major signings for Gotham FC as it’s been reported that fellow USWNT stars Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett are also interested in joining the club.
Crystal Dunn ✔️
Tierna Davidson ✔️Based on some calls today, sounds like Lavelle and Sonnett's signings with Gotham are inching closer to completion — official announcements potentially later this week. #NWSL https://t.co/G50axAS01h— Meg Linehan (@itsmeglinehan) January 2, 2024
In the scenario that Lavelle and Sonnett sign with Gotham FC the team will be a powerhouse in the league with a litany of USWNT stars.

That’s an insanely stacked team and that doesn’t even include the non-American talents like 2023 World Cup winner Esther González.
