Hirving “Chucky” Lozano’s 14th Eredivisie goal of the season salvaged a point for PSV in a 1-1 draw with third-place Feyenoord, but the club’s lead at the top of the table was cut to just two points following Ajax’s 5-1 victory over Den Haag.
Feyenoord had Sven van Beek sent off in the 59th minute at the Philips Stadion, but the visitors still managed to take the lead through Nicolai Jorgensen in the 70th minute.
However, two minutes later, it was Chucky’s acrobatic effort that leveled the score. This was Lozano’s first strike since a brace against Groningen back on Jan. 26, but the Mexican now has 14 in 22 games to go along with six assists.
The 23-year-old is the joint-third top scorer in the Eredivisie, trailing only teammate Luuk de Jong (20 goals) and Ajax’s Dusan Tadic (16).
Chucky now has 18 goals across all competitions this campaign for PSV, one less than he managed during his breakthrough debut season at the club.
Chucky and PSV return to action next Saturday against 14th-place Excelsior.
