Christian Pulisic takes only 17 minutes to get his first 2 assists for AC Milan

It was only a preseason match against a third division team but Christian Pulisic won't care — he'll just be happy to be starting and contributing again after wasting away at Chelsea.

The 24-year-old American, having just completed his $24.5 million transfer, got the start for AC Milan on Thursday during the club's first fixture of the summer, a matchup against Serie C's Lumezzane at the Milanello Sports Center.

Pulisic was on the left wing with 21-year-old Lorenzo Colombo starting at striker and Junior Messias out on the right, but it was midfielder Tommaso Pobega that Pulisic found twice in the opening 17 minutes to put Milan up 2-0.

Captain America created the first with a nice piece of control before beating his marker and cutting it back for Pobega.

Pulisic's run to the far post was picked out for the second and the American cushioned a layoff back to Pobega for his brace.

Have some of that, Graham Potter.

Milan now jets off to the United States where they'll be part of the Soccer Champions Tour with matches against Real Madrid (July 23 at the Rose Bowl), Juventus (July 27 at Dignity Health Sports Park) and Barcelona (Aug. 1 at Allegiant Stadium).
