Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez Equals Mexico’s All-Time Scoring Record

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez equalled Jared Borgetti’s all-time goalscoring record for Mexico by scoring his 46th goal in his 89th match. Coincidentally, that’s the exact same record as Borgetti.

Not only was it a historic goal, but it was a vital goal for El Tri. As it stands, Mexico would move to the top of the Hex at the expense of their opponents, Costa Rica.
