In a moment of pure magic for Stoke City in today's matchup against Premier League leaders Chelsea, Charlie Adam scored a 65-yard bomb late in the first half to equalize the match 1-1.
Having watched the goal at least 10 times at this point (we recommend you do the same), we're pretty sure we have a new leader for (at a minimum) Premier League goal of the year and (potentially) the FIFA Puskás Award for goal of the year. Charlie Adam caught Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois out of position in the closing minutes of the first half - only minutes after a nice little penalty kick from Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the lead - and the Stoke midfielder unleashed an epic shot that arced over the head of a visibly off-balance Courtois. Check it out:
A thing of beauty, if we do say so. Well played, Charlie Adam.
