Dani Carvajal Is A Better Goalkeeper Than Simon Mignolet And Twitter Knows It

Dani Carvajal's fantastic reflexes prove he is a better goalkeeper than Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet, and Twitter knows it. He gave proof in the latest edition of El Clásico as he epically saved a header by Barça’s Paulinho.

The only problem is, Carvajal is not a goalkeeper. So the referee blew the whistle, sentenced a penalty kick and sent Carvajal off via a direct red card.

Then along came Leo Messi, scoring the second goal of the night for Barcelona.

There was some discussion among broadcasters as to whether sending Carvajal off was too much of a punishment for Real Madrid considering the ball ended up in the back of the net after Carvajal's actions.

Instead, referee Sanchez Martinez decided to call the penalty and show Carvajal the straight red.

Controversy built even more as there were two alleged handballs within the box by Barcelona players that were not deemed penalties by the ref.

After a game that ended with a scoreline of 3-0 in favor of the Blaugrana, Twitter exploded by mockingly claiming Carvajal is, in fact, a better goalkeeper then Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet.

The Belgian goalkeeper has undergone severe criticism as a consequence of multiple howlers for the Reds.

Earlier this week, Mignolet produced a howler as Liverpool faced Arsenal, not being able to save a shot from Granit Xhaka.

As things stand, Barcelona are leading La Liga and have a 14-point advantage over Real Madrid, who are in fourth.

It seems near impossible that Real Madrid can come back next year and defend their league title.

However, the true question is: will Jurgen Klopp make an offer for Dani Carvajal next transfer window?
