USWNT legend Brandi Chastain, who was born in San Jose, California, was inducted into the Bay Area Hall of Fame on Monday, and the two-time World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold-medalist was honored with a plaque that commemorated her achievements over the years.
Unfortunately, the plaque’s personal likeliness is an absolute horror show. The iconic scorer of the match-winning penalty at the 1999 FIFA World Cup Final has been transformed into an ice road trucker with an insatiable hunger for hotdish.
There’s the same kind of agony in the eyes and dejected forlornness in the smile that so deeply troubled Cristiano Ronaldo’s airport bust in Madeira. Chastain’s plaque also seems to be saying, “Here I sit, pain and misery my solitary companions. Please melt me down and throw me into the deepest part of the ocean.”

Here are some more pictures of Chastain, just to further the effect of how terrible this is.
According to The Guardian, Chastain said the plaque was “nice” but also said: “It’s not the most flattering.”
